All Registration Forms including the RTO1a - Application for Initial Registration can now only be accessed and submitted through the TAC RTO Portal.

To create an account for the Portal you are required to complete a Portal Access Request e-form found here.


In bold below is a list of forms accessible via the Portal.

RTO1a – Initial Registration

RTO1b – Renewal of Registration 

You need to complete this application if your organisation is already a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and you are applying to renew your organisation's registration. ​

RTO 2 – Amendment to Registration

Use this form to:

  • add Training Package qualifications, units of competency or accredited courses to scope of registration;
  • remove Training Package qualifications, units of competency or accredited courses from scope of registration;
  • replace superseded Training Package qualifications and units of competency with non-equivalent Training Package qualifications and units of competency;
  • replace a superseded/replaced accredited course with a new accredited course; and
  • change from an assessment only service to offering a training and assessment service.

RTO 3 – Notification of Third Party Agreement
It is a requirement under Clause 8.3 of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015 that RTOs must notify TAC of all third-party agreements. Use this form to notify TAC when entering into a new agreement or ending an existing agreement. ​

RTO4 – Notification of Change of RTO Details

Use this form to update:

  • head office details;
  • delivery sites; and
  • contacts.


RTO 6 – Request to Cancel Registration
To request a cancellation of registration, an RTO must use this form to notify TAC. ​

RTO 7 – Change of legal entity

Use this form when there is:

  1. a proposed sale or transfer of a legal entity that is registered with the Council.
  2. the death of a natural person when registration has been issued to a sole proprietor.
  3. a case of bankruptcy / liquidation.

RTO 8 – Advice of intention to transfer to ASQA
Use this form to notify TAC of your intention to transfer to ASQA.
